Description: 
Hand selected and hand whipped stripy pheasant and green parrot feathers, in addition to some flashes of guinea fowl, blue peacock and irridescent turkey feathers. All attached to a polished, spent 6.5 Hornady Creedmoor bullet casing finished with varnished purple whipping thread. The pin is attached to the hat (or lapel or bag) with a butterfly clasp.
 
These feathers are sourced from naturally moulting parrots cared for by a local bird enthusiast, pest control operations in the North Island and former fly tyers.

Care Instructions:
With care my handcrafted feather creations should be durable and give you much enjoyment. Feathers are naturally wind and water resistant. However, if they do get wet set them aside to dry naturally and gently realign the feathers, if necessary, between your clean thumb and forefinger in the direction of the feathers barbs (i.e. go with the grain and not against it).
 
Store them in their box between uses to protect from the sun, humidity and organic pests.
