The dragonfly pin is part of a new collection of recycled silk, fly tied creations by Simon - crafting nature inspired 3D stunning creations to be worn as hat pins, brooches or scarf pins. Statement pieces with a wider range of colours than we can offer in our naturally coloured feather creations.
 
This piece highlights the red and black patternation and features a complementary paisley second wing. Both of the wings are backed with a vibrant purple. Much of the rest of the under fabric is pink. This hand tied hat pin is attached to a polished brass 270mm Winchester spent bullet casing pin with a varnished black whipping thread. The pin is attached to the hat (or jacket lapel) with a butterfly clasp.
 
Customise your pin:
You can order a pin to be made in the same handmade, design as shown here but the colours of your choice. In this case your hat pin will be made to order and will be mailed out within seven days. Please note: all silks have variations in colour and pattern. Rest assured I will make sure you receive an excellent representation of this style.

Care Instructions:
With care, my handcrafted silk creations should be durable and give you much enjoyment. If these pins need rejuvenating you can use a very gentle wool wash, baby shampoo or silk detergent with warm water. Gently move the piece around in the lightly soaped water. Spot stains can attempt to be removed using a cotton bud and a very gentle dabbing. Let the pin naturally air dry on a towel.
 
Store these pieces in their box between uses to protect from the sun, dust and humidity.
